80th Anniversary of the Liberation of Auschwitz Tour 2025
First Tour of 2025 from 25 January to 2 February 2025
Greetings everyone,
I am very pleased to be bringing to you the first tour of 2025 for Poland At War Tours commemorating the 80th Anniversary of the Liberation of Auschwitz. The tour will begin in Warsaw on 25 January 2025 and end in Krakow on 2 February 2025.
In 2024, I have personally been lucky enough to attend the following commemorations in Poland:
80th anniversary of the Great Escape
79th Anniversary of the Liberation of Lamdsdorf POW Camp
79th Anniversary of the Liberation of Auschwitz.
81st Anniversary of the Outbreak of the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising
80th Anniversary of the Outbreak of the Warsaw Uprising
80th Anniversary of the Outbreak of WWII in Poland
Auschwitz was liberated by scouts of the Soviet Army on 27 January 1945. The date of the liberation of Auschwitz, the unmistakable icon of the Holocaust, has been accepted by the United Nations as the date to recognise International Holocaust remembrance Day throughout the world.
In memory of this significant anniversary, I am running a bespoke tour based around the 80th Anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz.
Whilst it would be amazing to be at Auschwitz for the actual ceremony, with the number of delegates who are bound to attend from around the world, think Presidents and Prime Ministers, it would likely be impossible to get into the event.
However, we will attend the commemoration ceremony in Warsaw, at the memorial to the Ghetto Heroes outside the POLIN Museum, before heading down to Krakow and Auschwitz a few days later when things become a little quieter.
The tour will be a 9 Day and 8 Night Tour between Warsaw and Krakow. With a major focus on the Holocaust.
Other sites that we will visit on the tour include:
Welcome dinner.
Warsaw Ghetto & Jewish Cemetery.
Treblinka Concentration & Extermination Camp.
2025 Commemoration of the Liberation of Auschwitz.
POLIN Museum.
Jewish Historical Institute.
Warsaw Old Town.
6 hour Study Tour of Auschwitz I & Auschwitz II Birkenau.
Krakow Old Town.
Kazimierz - The Old Jewish Quarter of Krakow.
Krakow Ghetto including Schindler’s Factory.
Wieliczka Salt Mine.
Plaszow Concentration Camp - The camp depicted in Schindler’s List.
Farewell Dinner.
2024 Commemoration of the Liberation of Auschwitz at the Memorial to Warsaw Ghetto Heroes, POLIN Museum, Warsaw
